Highwave was generous enough to send us their AutoDogMug® Leak-Tight to try and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's the dead of summer here in Maryland and we've had some VERY hot and humid days -- it couldn't have come at a better time. We have been able to use this every day for over a week now and I have some thoughts on this piece of useful dog gear.
First impressions: wow, this thing is *nice*. I had an old different "dog water container" years ago that was similar in style, yet different, but it fell apart within a week of having it. This one just feels nice in your hands but it's still not too heavy and it's easy to carry around on walks or hikes. The best part of this container is, of course, that you do not have to waste one ounce of water. Any water your dog does not use simply goes back into the cup. One of my FAVORITE features is the twist in the center that locks to render a leak-tight seal which makes it safe for putting in your backpack and not worrying about any leaking! Not only that but you don't have to continue to squeeze the bottle for the water to remain in the cup. You can lock it making the water stay in the bowl without your assistance. It also comes with a carabiner which can attach to a pack or your belt loop.
We opted for the larger size (since I have 2 dogs) however they do offer a small dog cup as well in a size called "Mini". The regular size that we have holds 22oz whereas the Mini holds 15oz. Their other pet products include "Dog & Me" cup designed for humans to drink out of the bottle itself and the dog to drink out of the cup, an even larger size called "Growler" and other pet bowls and accessories.
They do offer human products as well - mugs, wine glasses and many other accessories.
